Catherine Morris MSW, RSW is a Registered Social Worker with The Social Work Consulting Group. She holds a Master of Social Work Degree, with a health-focused specialization, from the University of Waterloo. Catherine received her Bachelor of Social Work degree from York University.
Catherine joined The Social Work Consulting Group in 2019. She has attended trainings, workshops and conferences related to Trauma, Acquired Brain Injury, Custody-Access Conflict, Grief, Child Development, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Emotion Focused Family Therapy (EFFT).
Catherine has worked with children, adolescents, adults and families in a variety of settings, including community-based children’s services, hospital outpatient mental health services and in private practice. Catherine has extensive experience supporting families with complex needs through crisis intervention, advocacy, counselling and case management services. She has provided individual, family and group therapy using a variety of modalities, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Emotion Focused Family Therapy (EFFT).
Catherine practices from a strengths-based perspective. She is passionate about supporting her clients to connect with the people and experiences that matter most to them.
