Polly Joseph, MSW, RSW, is a registered therapist with a Master of Social Work from the University of Iowa. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from Graceland University and currently serves as adjunct faculty there.
Prior to joining the Social Work Consulting Group, Polly spent over a decade specializing in both medical social work and mental health within amazing interprofessional teams at Southlake Regional Health Centre in Newmarket, Ontario. She has also served in the Emergency Mental Health and Assessment Service in a teaching hospital environment at Children’s Emergency Department at IWK Hospital in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Her hospital-based experience is specific to: crisis assessment, intervention planning and brief therapy. Polly’s extensive work with families in adjustment and acceptance phases of recovery, as well as, assisting clients to access resources focuses on strengths of the client. Polly works with clients of all ages and their support persons through the journey of recovery using evidence-based therapy modalities like CBT, DBT, Solution-Focused therapy, Mindfulness and Motivational Interviewing.
